Western Petition
We built a modern website for Western Petition Systems, the state of Oklahoma's official initiative petition processor.
Problem
In early 2020, Oklahoma passed H.B. 3826, amending the petition process by requiring signatures to be matched to at least three data points in the voter file to verify that each signature is linked to a registered voter. Bill Shapard, the founder of Western Petition Systems, contacted us to have a logo and website designed so he could present Western Petition's proposal to the Secretary of State to become the official vendor of petition verification services as required by the new law.
Solution
As Western Petition was a brand new company, we had to start from scratch by creating a logo and brand identity. We had our work cut out for us, as we were tasked to create a logo from scratch, build a new website from the ground up, and finally write and incorporate content designed to inform and educate site visitors. WPS needed a website and brand identity that would impress the Secretary of State, and also educate and inform petition creators about the new process.
Result
We designed a new logo, built the new wireframes, and finally published a beautiful, responsive website and brand identity that achieved all the goals Western Petition desired to achieve.
Our website design and copywriting helped Western Petition win the contract with the Secretary of State to become the official vendor of initiative petition verification services.
